A deliveryman is clinging to life today after being hit on his bicycle by a drunk driver in a Lexus and then thrown under a double parked BMW, police said today.
The driver of the Lexus fled the scene of the crash, which happened on Eight Avenue near 47th Street, police said. Clark Gettinger, 40, was later arrested and charged with DWI and vehicular assault.
The luxury sedan is registered to the now deceased Robert S. Gettinger, a Madoff victim who lost some $13 million to the scammer, according to the New York Post.
