    Gunman Sought in Queens Restaurant Shooting: NYPD

    Police are searching for a gunman who they say was captured on surveillance video entering a Queens restaurant and firing at a man inside, wounding both him and a bystander. (Published Monday, Feb. 29, 2016)

    Police are searching for a gunman who they say was captured on surveillance video entering a Queens restaurant and firing at a man inside, wounding both him and a bystander.

    The suspect is seen on video lunging into the Rico Chimi restaurant at 80-01 Atlantic Ave. just after midnight on Saturday, Feb. 20, and firing his gun at a 40-year-old man inside the restaurant, police said. 

    A 32-year-old woman was also shot. 

    The gumman fled in a newer model, red four-door sedan, police said.

    Both shooting victims were transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital. The man had gunshot wounds to the leg and hip and was admitted in stable condition.

    The woman sustained gunshot wounds to her buttocks and leg and was treated and released.
