A 16-year-old girl was shot outside a Bronx school Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The student was shot in the hip outside Bronx Academy High School in the Soundview section of the borough at about 3:30 p.m., officials said.
Police say the victim was wounded in her right hip after a gunman leaped off a public bus and fired into the ground. The shooter has not been identified.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital.
