An elderly man was found dead inside a Manhattan homeless shelter with some sort of marking on the back of his head, police say.
The man’s identity hasn’t been released, but officials say the 77-year-old was found unconscious and unresponsive inside his room at 315 Bowery, the site of the BRC.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities said he was discovered with a marking on the back of his head. However, it is still unclear what type of marking authorities found.
A medical examiner will determine the man’s cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.
