Police on Long Island say an elderly driver was killed when his vehicle was struck by a Suffolk County Transit bus.
Police say John Gordon was in a Babylon parking lot just after 11 a.m. Tuesday when he drove over a curb and into John Street where his vehicle was struck by the bus.
Police say the 83-year-old North Babylon man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Neither the bus driver nor any of his passengers were injured.
