A sleeping man was knocked from his bed after a vehicle struck in a crash was pushed into his northern New Jersey home over the weekend, authorities say.
The chain-reaction crash happened in Emerson occurred around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. A 37-year-old Teaneck woman hit a guardrail, then the driver's side of a parked van and another vehicle before striking a utility pole, authorities say.
The impact sent the second vehicle into the home.
The home's resident, the driver and her 1-year-old son were all treated at a hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Their names and further details on their conditions have not been released.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
