Bomb Threats Lead to Arrest on Staten Island: Police

A Staten island man has been arrested on charges he made bomb threats against Nassau County police facilities.

Detectives say the 52-year-old called Nassau County's Third Precinct on Wednesday threatening to kill everyone by placing a bomb in the precinct.

A short time later the man called the department's Emergency Call Center and said he had left a bag of dynamite inside the doorway of the precinct, police said. The building in Williston Park was searched and no explosives were found, according to police.

The man was arrested Saturday on Staten Island on charges of making a terroristic threat and aggravated harassment.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead.

No information on a lawyer for the man was immediately available.
