Homeless Man Phones in Bomb Threat to Long Island Hospital: Cops

Police searched the hospital but found nothing

A homeless man has been arrested for calling in a bomb threat to a Long Island hospital, police say.

Nassau County police say Victor Perez allegedly placed the anonymous call to the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police, he said there was a bomb in the hospital. Police searched the hospital but found nothing.

Police traced the call to a pay phone in Westbury. Perez was arrested on Wednesday and charged with making a terroristic threat.

It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
