Arrest Made in New Jersey Millionaire Murder

Suspect worked as a chaffeur for the victim's wife

An East Orange man was charged today with the murder and robbery of a 91-year old millionaire, who had hired the suspect as his chauffeur.

Reginald Anthony has been charged with murder, robbery and weapons offenses in the death of Robert Nevius, who was found Thursday morning in his home in Essex Fells.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert Laurino said Friday the cause of death was blunt force trauma and strangulation, according to the autopsy report.

Laurino said the 28-year-old Anthony worked as a chauffeur for Nevius and his wife, and that he allegedly robbed and killed Nevius after driving his wife to New York.

Anthony was being held Friday afternoon on $1 million bail. If found guilty, Anthony faces 30 years to life in New Jersey State prison.
