Another L.I. Pharmacy Robbed of Prescription Drugs

No one was injured in the most recent incident.

A Long Island pharmacy was robbed of prescription drugs over the weekend just a few miles from the site of last week's deadly shooting in Medford.

Suffolk Police say a man passed a note to an employee at the CVS on Horseblock Road in Farmingville at around 12 p.m. Sunday.

He demanded prescription and drugs and cash.

After the worker handed the items over, the suspect fled on foot.

No one was injured, but the crime is just the most recent incident in the growing problem of prescription drug abuse.

According to police, the suspect went into the CVS minutes before making his demand and asked if certain prescription drugs were available.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding the robber. He's described as a thin white male in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a white and red baseball hat and dark pants.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
