One person is dead and another is wounded after a double shooting in the Bronx early Friday morning, police said.
The two victims were near the corner of Baychester Avenue and Schieffelin Avenue in Edenwald at about 5:45 a.m. when the shots rang out, police said.
One of the victims was shot in the leg, the second was hit in torso, authorities said.
Both were transported to Jacobi Hospital, where the second victim was pronounced dead.
The victim with the leg wound is expected to survive.
It was not immediately clear what led to shooting and no arrests have been made, police said.
