Fire officials say 17 firefighters and four residents were injured in a fire at a three-story building in Queens.
The three-alarm blaze erupted at 2:55 a.m. Monday at 143-05 45th Ave. in a building that housed a laundry on the first floor and apartments above.
It was brought under control at 5:56 a.m.
Two civilans were taken to Flushing Hospital with serious injuries and two others were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, officials said.
The firefighters were treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
The cause of the fire and where it originated are under investigation.
