Celeb Clubbing's Checkered Past

Rapper Diddy is in hot water after a NYPD vehicle escorted him from a concert at midtown's Hammerstein Ballroom to West Orange, New Jersey hotspot Club 4 Sixty 6, which was to pay him $75,000 for a (presumably) revenue-generating appearance. This ticked off Mayor Bloomberg, who rightfully noted that the "police department should treat everybody exactly the same. If you don't get a police escort, P. Diddy shouldn't."

But you can't really blame the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy. After all, his chopper hadn't been cleared for landing on the club's helipad, forcing the more pedestrian route. Diddy isn't the first celebrity--and in some cases that's quite the charitable description--to have his good name smeared by professional partying. With some help from celebrity booking agent Mike Esterman, The Feast looked into the somehow sinister underworld of paid club appearances of the demi-stars to find out who topped the list of bottomfeeders, who a venue can nab for bargain basement prices and to revel in the collateral damage of the celebrity-nightlife complex.
