Mary-Kate Olsen is off the hook.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office investigation into the death of “The Dark Knight” star Heath Ledger has been dropped, according to a law enforcement official who spoke to the Associated Press.
Authorities dropped the investigation “because they don’t believe there’s a viable target,” the official told the AP.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the federal Drug Enforcement Administration office in New York had obtained a subpoena in an attempt to force Mary-Kate Olsen to testify in front of a grand jury, as part of their investigation into Ledger’s death.
Authorities had been attempting to understand how Ledger acquired OxyContin and Vicodin without a legal prescription.
Olsen was the first person called by the masseuse who discovered Ledger’s lifeless body in January in his New York City apartment.
