From left, Stephanie Izard and Jamie Lauren.
SFLuxe contends that Top Chef's Jamie Lauren "would truly be the new star chef of San Francisco with or without a major national TV show behind her." In a probing interview, Jamie cracks and admits that she likes butter, onions, and San Francisco. But we do hope her Christmas wish about Madonna comes true. "All I've ever wanted to do is cook for her," Jamie says. "I would probably make her a cheeseburger." Epicurious has a much better interview with season-four winner Stephanie Izard, who is in lease negotiations for her new restaurant, the Drunken Goat, which she hopes to open next summer. "I'm always searching for the place where I want to hang out and it's not here," she says. "So I'm going to open it up." The menu will be Spanish and Italian small plates with an emphasis on wine and beer. As for Top Chef predictions, Stephanie has her eye on Jamie, Fabio, and Stefan. USA! USA!
