Old Homestead Loses Space But Adds Seats

Yesterday it was reported that Old Homestead is losing the space adjacent to its main dining room, and the restaurant confirms it won’t be renewing its lease there. However, a statement assures us that an expansion is under way: "Old Homestead is not shrinking at all — as a matter of fact, we are increasing by 60 seats. The expansion is being done by famed architect and designer Glen Coben of Del Posto fame. Some of the new features will be a fireplace table, the steakhouse bar on the second floor, and a new private dining room on the third floor, plus commissioned artwork from famous artists.” In addition to adding 35 seats in the upstairs room that now houses offices, the restaurant will renovate the back dining room to include the 75 seats they’ll be losing. You’ll see all of this next year.
