L’Asso tells us that its hotly anticipated clam pie is in the last stages of engineering and may debut as early as next week. Lombardi’s — en garde! Not only that, but gelato is also in the works. Launch date TBD. Meanwhile, last time we passed by we noticed the pizzeria has started selling “I Love NY”–inspired shirts similar to the ones La Esquina has long been hocking, except with the L’asso logo instead of a luchador mask. Collect both for ultimate Nolita hipster cred.
