Long Island Rail Road service was suspended on the Oyster branch, east of Mineola, due to an accident involving an unauthorized person struck by a train near Locust Valley for several hours Tuesday evening.
LIRR passengers experienced delays on its Oyster Bay Branch of up to 60 minutes eastbound and 90 minutes westbound as a result.
By 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, however, all was back on track.
