A Top Shop's Fashion Week Notes

As New York Fashion week rages on, The Feast kicks off a series of snippets, quotes, and takeaways from the people that move the clothes from the runways to our closets. Today, Sarah Easley and Beth Buccini, the power duo behind It-boutique Kirna Zabete in Soho, bring us up to speed on the first few days of fashion Fashion Week through their eyes.

What designers do you see that you think will be hot as retail labels come fall?
Beth: Victoria Beckham, and our CFI designer Alice Ritter (who we mentor) had a great presentation styled by Isabel Dupre - So happy to see her hard work pay off.
Sarah: Victoria Beckham, Cushnie et Ochs, Thakoon.

Anyone doing anything different or unexpected that re-excited you as buyers and online retailers?
Beth: Victoria made super feminine coats that were still a strong and modern statement -- no easy task. Plus, incredible dresses and bags. I want a closet full of them!
Sarah: The fashion flock in that Milk stairwell made the climb from floors two to eight enjoyable. In-flight entertainment! I particularly enjoyed a rhinestone eye patch and a fur fox cat-tail (worn as tail). Bold.
