A fire tore through a Brooklyn home, killing a 24-year-old man and critically injuring a woman, police said.
The fire broke out on the second floor of a home on Hale Avenue, near Force Tube Avenue, in Cypress Hills shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, the FDNY said.
Firefighters pulled the man and woman from the home, they were brought to Brookdale Hospital, police said. The man was pronounced dead.
The woman was transferred to New York Cornell Hospital in critical condition, police said.
The bulk of the fire had been put out as of around 11:15 a.m., the FDNY said.
