Men's 400m Hurdle Champs On Pop Culture Favorites

On Monday night, Angelo Taylor, Kerron Clement and Bershawn Jackson did what no Americans have done since the 1960 Rome Olympics – they went 1 – 2 – 3 for the U.S. in the 400m men’s hurdles.

And on Tuesday, the trio talked with Access about what their lives are like when they’re not training or competing.

Silver medalist Kerron is a huge Mariah Carey fan, and said that he listens to her before every meet in his iPod. “Anything Mariah,” Kerron told Access. In his spare time, he says that he enjoys photography.

Both gold medalist Angelo and bronze medalist Bershawn said that “Scarface” is their favorite movie. Angelo also loves the Eddie Murphy classic “Coming To America.” His favorite actors are Isaiah Washington and Samuel L. Jackson.

Bershawn told Access that his favorite TV show is “The Wire,” and he has celebrity crushes on Christina Milian and Meagan Goode. He also loves traveling – his favorite place to kick back is South Beach in Miami.

All three guys love watching football and basketball and said that they really enjoyed meeting some of the Redeem Team members while in Beijing. They also said they want to check out some boxing while here during the Olympics, and maybe even synchronized swimming (OK, this last one was said jokingly!).
