We had to swing by Self Edge last night to get a sneak peak at how the store was shaping up for its big grand opening today. Brown papered windows over the store front for the past week have left us VERY intrigued.
The shop hails from San Francisco, stocks some of the best brands of Japanese denim out there and does all our favorite "denim-y" stuff --like alterations on funky sewing machines. When we dropped by there was a crew of denim-wearing cool kids getting the store ready for its debut, a few racks that had been merchandised, and your classic last-minute conundrums -- a lighting issue had apparently surfaced and was being dealt with. The store front, however, was looking no less than opening day ready, and we love the old-school logo that adorns the entrance.
Pretty much bonafide suckers for a good pair of jeans, we are particularly excited for the gents in the LES especially (since the stock is largely catered to their breed). As an aside, men are getting a good deal these days hopping around Orchard Street with BBlessing just up the block. But we digress: Don't miss the grand opening of this new denim emporium this weekend.
