The newest outpost of the world's most polarizing shearling boots from down under has officially opened its doors on the corner of Madison Avenue and 58th Street.
We stopped by the opening party to check out the new sleek new space, where the interior features futuristic steel swirls offset by warm wood and, of course, furry boots and slippers abound. The store is surprisingly small -- considering the brand's mass appeal -- and the selection of new knitwear is limited only to a rack and stack in the back.
Snagging such prime real estate in the city seems proof positive not only that the brand is sticking around, but also that it's aiming for an upmarket audience with wares expanding beyond it shapeless shearling origins.
