English actor Daniel Craig has a license--not to kill, but to a Tribeca penthouse.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Craig, famous for his leading role in the two most recent James Bond films, and Satsuki Mitchell, an American film producer and Craig's girlfriend, posted the highest bid--in cash--for the penthouse, listed at $1.9 million.
At 1,121 square feet, the penthouse boasts 20-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and three terraces, the Journal reports. The exact amount of money Craig and Mitchell paid for the apartment is not yet known, but the deal is expected to close next week.
The penthouse had not been listed until the end of last year, when the real estate economy showed signs of recovery, the Journal reports. The four condos in the building were sold after Core Broker Business took over the listing a year ago and cut the prices by 25%.
"It's a very 'Bond' apartment," Fredrik Eklund of Core told the Journal.
Other celebrities who have lived in Tribeca include Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, James Gandolfini and Mariah Carey.
