More Haute Hotels: There are finally some official details...

There are finally some official details regarding the luxury hotel that will be built on the former site of the Moondance Diner at Sixth Avenue and Grand Street, directly behind another luxury hotel, the Soho Grand. According to the Soho Alliance, the "Moondance Hotel" (aka the 27 Grand Street Hotel) will be 10 stories of hotel rooms on top of a two-story base, and the developers are shooting for three bars—on the ground floor, in a patio area and on the rooftop ('natch). In an effort to deflect community outrage, a meeting between locals and the developers is scheduled for Thursday. [CurbedWire Inbox]
