The folks from out of town who paddle about Canal Street looking for bargains will soon be able to do so without the bother of either a long walk or a scary trip on the subway. The Sheraton Tribeca sold off by Sam Chang's McSam Hotel Group is bringing a special delivery of rooms to 370 Canal Street, right in the heart of Rolex Alley. Air rights were purchased from the US Postal Service's deco post office on Canal and Church Street, and Chang's right-hand man, architect Gene Kaufman, handled the design. Not a fan? There's always FedEx.
