An official update on yesterday's report on the DOH'ing of Hell Square's Spitzer's Corner. From the DOH: "The Health Department closed Spitzer Corner on 9/24/08 after it failed its final compliance inspection (three failed inspections since 6/29/08)...Sanitary violations found during the inspection include 30 lbs of food kept at unsafe temperatures and a fly infestation. Staff at Spitzer Corner met with the Health Department yesterday and is in the process of making the necessary corrections so that they can reopen." [EaterWire]
