    New Wine Bar Offers Unlimited Booze at Brunch

    Is it too good to be true?

    Atlas Cafe owner Walid Hammami soft-opened his new venture, Absinthe Wine Bar, a few weeks ago, but brunch service begins today.

    The East Village spot serves small plates for dinner (the grilled lamb slider is worth a try), but the brunch is $11 for food, juice, and coffee, and an extra $9 for "unlimited" drinks of the mimosa-sangria-bellini variety. Sounds like trouble on a budget! We've got the menu after the jump.

    BRUNCH
    $11 each includes orange juice & coffee or tea

    Spanish Croque Madame
    Chorizo, gruyere, manchego, herbed steak frites

    Duck Hash
    Maple glazed duck confit, poached eggs, hollandaise, harissa potatoes

    Salmon Benedict
    North Atlantic smoked salmon, mini wheat bagels, poached eggs, spiced dill hollandaise, roast garlic hash

    Mashed Green Plantains
    Sherry-pickled red onions, grilled merguez, halumi cheese fried organic egg

    Brioche French Toast
    Whipped orange cream cheese, orange preserve

    Spanish Bruschetta
    Baby arugula, shaved manchego

    Lamb Club Sandwich
    Triple decker of lamb confit, roast tomatoes, provolone cheese, spicy steak fries
