The hits keep coming for Brett Favre.

The gunslinging Vikings quarterback admitted to the NFL this week that he did in fact leave voicemails for former sideline reporter Jenn Sterger, but he denied sending her lewd photos of himself while he was a New York Jet, reports Fox Sports.

The league is investigating allegations of improper conduct by the star signal caller based on evidence first made public by the sports website Deadspin.

Sterger has yet to make any public statement about the situation, but that may be about to change.

"We have an ongoing dialogue with the NFL, said Phil Reese, a spokesman for Sterger. "Ultimately this decision is hers and hers alone," adding that she's "strongly considering" talking to NFL officials.

Favre spoke with NFL vice president for security Milt Ahlerich last week about the case, but no details of that meeting have been made public.

"That's a league issue, that I just have to leave at that," Favre said.

If the allegations are proven true, Favre could face a possible suspension for violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy along the lines of the punishment given to Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who was forced to sit out the first four games of this season for allegations of sexual misconduct.
