Islanders Ice Blackhawk's 8-Game Streak

Kyle Okposo and Lubomir Visnovsky scored 51 seconds apart in the third period, and the New York Islanders beat Chicago 3-2 on Saturday night to snap the Blackhawks' NHL-best, eight-game winning streak.

After Patrick Kane gave the Blackhawks a 2-1 lead 3:46 into the third with an end-to-end rush with a backhanded finish, Okposo tied it with a power-play goal off a rebound of John Tavares' shot with 9:50 left.

Visnovsky then skated across the Chicago zone and beat backup goalie Scott Darling to put New York in front at 11:01.

Cal Clutterbuck also scored, and Jaroslav Halak made 23 saves to stop the Islanders' three-game losing streak. New York allowed 17 goals during the skid.
