Wheelchair Ramp Stolen From MS Patient's Home

Seriously?

West Haven police are asking for the public's help in finding the thieves who stole a wheelchair ramp used by a local woman and her adult daughter to get in and out of their apartment.

Police say Sandra and Tracy Lamb's ramp was stolen early Wednesday morning, possibly to get money for scrap metal.

Sandra Lamb uses a motorized wheelchair because of a heart problem, while her daughter needs a motorized wheelchair because she has multiple sclerosis. The Multiple Sclerosis Society had donated the 10-foot-long aluminum ramp.

Tracy Lamp told the New Haven Register that she cried when she discovered that the ramp was missing Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Haven police.
