Rye Playland Reopens After Sandy Damage Repaired

A Westchester County amusement park that suffered heavy damage from Hurricane Sandy has opened for the summer season after months of repairs.
 
Rye Playland welcomed members of the public on Saturday.
 
Newsday reported hundreds of families came out for the opening, watching a parade and getting on the rides.
 
Sandy caused extensive damage at the park, including destroying some of the boardwalk. Some repairs are still being completed.
