2 Long Island Teachers File Sexual Harassment Suit Against Supervisor

Two male teachers at a Long Island high school say a female supervisor sexually harassed them and are taking legal action.

The men work at Central High School in Valley Stream and claim that for the last five years, the head of the social studies department touched them and made inappropriate comments.

They filed a formal sexual harassment complaint Monday with the state and federal government. They do not want the supervisor to return to her job in September.

"I had to do something. I couldn't let this continue, this inappropriate, bizarre behavior that was very toxic," one of the teachers, 38-year-old Al Daddino, told reporters Monday.

The other teacher, 42-year-old John Brennan, said he's "mentally fatigued, emotionally fatigued, physically fatigued, spiritually fatigued" by the alleged harassment.

The Valley Stream school district said it's investigating. The accused teacher did not respond to NBC 4 New York's request for comment.

The New York Post, which first reported details of the complaint Monday, said the 51-year-old department chair would harass the male teachers with "crude come-ons, unwanted caresses and ribald tales of her wanton past," according to the paper.
