Suspect Sought After 5 Shot in the Bronx: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who shot and injured five people Saturday in the Bronx.

The suspect approached a group of men at about 9 p.m. on Creston Avenue and brandished a 40 caliber handgun, firing it several times at the group and injuring five people, police said.

The victims, between 20 and 26 years old, received several gunshot wounds and were taken to nearby hospitals. One victim who received a gunshot wound to the chest was listed in critical condition while the others were treated and released.

The shooter fled and was last seen walking northbound on Creston Avenue.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
