Shooting in Brooklyn Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Wounded



    Grapevine police catch speeding driver

     A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital today after a double shooting in Brooklyn.

    Police responded to a call of a woman shot at 1746 Sterling Place in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 2:10 a.m.  There they found two people shot. Emergency officials transported the victims to Brookdale Hospital, where the first victim, a 44-year-old black male, was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the lower back.

    The second victim, a 30-year-old black female, is being treated for gunshot wounds to the right leg, torso and right arm. She is in stable condition, police said.

    There is no word yet on who fired the shots and no arrests have been made.
