Off-Duty Security Guard Shot in Downtown Brooklyn: Police

    An off-duty security guard was shot in the shoulder in downtown Brooklyn Monday evening, near the district attorney's office, police said.

    The 26-year-old victim was walking near Willoughby and Pearl streets, across the street from the DA's office, when he was hit in the shoulder, police said. 

    The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in good condition. 

    It did not immediately appear to be connected to any ongoing case in the district attorney's office, according to police. It's not clear where the off-duty security  guard worked.

    Police are searching for a suspect.
