An elderly woman died after being hit by a Con Edison truck while she was crossing the street in Manhattan Wednesday evening, officials said.
The 88-year-old woman was crossing the street near the corner of 16th Street and Avenue C at around 7 p.m. when she was hit by a large flush truck, which is used to clean manholes and sewers, police said.
Police are investigating the accident.
