Rescue crews have suspended their search for a missing paraglider off the coast of Long Island, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
The paraglider was reported missing near Robbins Island in Southold around 5:45 p.m. Sunday.
Coast Guard boat and helicopter crews, along with the North Sea Fire Department, the South Hampton Bay Constables and the Suffolk Police Aviation Department, searched for the paraglider for more than 16 hours.
Officials said there were no signs of distress in the area.
