Oops! Bus Takes Wrong Students on NJ Field Trip

And they complain!

A bus in northern New Jersey started to take the wrong students on a field trip to an amusement park, officials say.

The mixup began when about 30 Ridgefield Park High School students boarded the bus in Little Ferry around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The students thought it was the bus they use every day. But the driver had showed up early to take seventh- and eighth-grade students to Six Flags Great Adventure at 9 a.m.

The students became worried when the bus reached the New Jersey Turnpike.

The students called their parents and the school when the driver wouldn't stop.

The driver eventually listened and turned around at Interchange 13A in Elizabeth.

School officials had contacted police, who stopped the bus and an officer rode aboard until it reached the school.
