Man Wanted in NYC Chain-Snatching Spree: NYPD

Police are looking for the New York City thief who has snatched chains from at least seven people in recent weeks.

The suspect has robbed seven people since July 22, and the NYPD said that most of the attacks came during daylight hours.

In the most recent attack, on West 195th Street at Jerome Avenue in the Bronx's Kingsbridge neighborhood, the robber also attacked his mark, police said.

That victim was punched and pushed to the ground before his chain was stolen.

Each of the victims was a man between the ages of 28 and 58, according to the NYPD.

The suspect is described as being in his 20s.

Anyone with information about the man should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
