Naked Man Chased by Cops

One officer injured, many entertained

Police attempting to serve a robbery warrant in Brooklyn got more than they bargained for.

NYPD officers in Crown Heights knocked on the door of 19-year-old Brandon Moore. Moore had been sleeping and answered the door wearing -- nothing.

The police covered the 19-year-old with a bed sheet, only to have Moore zoom off, leaving the sheet behind him. The naked man fled his Kingston Avenue basement apartment and lead police on a four-block chase that caught the attention of residents. Several officers on foot and a police van joined the chase.

Venton Johnson witnessed the fracas and told the Daily News "He was completely naked!”

An officer chasing Moore fell through a metal sidewalk grate and plummeted 10 feet  into the basement of an apartment of Dean Sreet. The officer suffered a cut to his right arm as well as bumps and bruises. He was taken to Wyckoff Hospital in stable condition.

The chase ended when Moore sought refuge in a friend’s basement apartment. Police apprehended him, dragging the naked man back onto the street.
