NYPD Sergeant Accused of Raping Girl, 13

An NYPD sergeant has been arrested on rape and other charges for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a minor, police say.

Vladimir Krull, 37, was charged Tuesday for allegedly having a relationship with a 13-year-old girl that started with a kiss and escalated over the course of several months, according to a complaint.

The victim was the daughter of a woman Krull knew, according to police.

Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said Wednesday the case is being investigated by internal affairs bureau. Krull, who was assigned to the midtown north district, has been suspended without pay.

Krull is charged with rape, criminal sex acts, sexual misconduct, forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and sex abuse. The judge set his bail at $75,000.

It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Krull has worked the 46th Precinct in the Bronx and the 108th Precinct in Queens. The veteran cop was lauded two months ago for stopping a bank robbery on Madison Avenue in Midtown.
