A 33-year-old woman was shot and killed Saturday morning, and one person was arrested in connection with the shooting, police said.
Police officers arrived at 248 Suydam Street in Bushwick around 7:30 a.m. and found the woman unconscious and unresponsive. She had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, according to police. Her name is being withheld pending family notification.
A suspect was taken into custody at the scene. The relationship between the victim and her shooter is unknown. Police said that the investigation is ongoing.
