Man Beaten With Rock in Violent Queens Robbery; Police Search for 3 Suspects

The suspects are wanted in another robbery in Ozone Park, authorities say

Police are searching for three suspects they say violently attacked and robbed at least two men in Queens, hurling a rock at one man and rendering him unconscious in the violent attack.

On Sunday, on 77th Street in Ozone Park, one of the three suspects came up behind a 32-year-old man and hit him in the face with a rock, knocking him to the ground, according to police.

Once he was down, the two other suspects came over and all three men began kicking and punching the victim in his head and body. They then stole his wallet and cell phone, police said.

The victim, Prajwal Sujakhu, said the rock blow knocked him unconscious instantly.

“When they hit me I was unconscious,” Sujakhu said about the mugging.  “I didn’t feel it.”

Sujakhu suffered fractures and cuts to his face and head. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical but stable condition.

On Saturday morning, the three men allegedly targeted another victim in the same neighborhood. They came up behind the 25-year-old man and knocked him to the ground near Glenmore Avenue and 76th Street.

The suspects then kicked and punched him in his head and body before stealing his cell phone and wallet, police said.

The violent robbery left the victim with two black eyes and numerous cuts on his head. He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens Hospital in stable condition.

The suspects are in their late teens or early twenties, police said.
