2 Men Force Their Way Into Bronx Apartment, Threaten Mom and Son and Demand Money: Police

Police are searching for the two men who forced their way into a Bronx apartment, demanding money and threatening a mother and son.

The home invasion happened around 2:40 a.m. on Nov. 16 when a 29-year-old man heard a knock at the door of his apartment around Franklin Avenue and Third Avenue in Morrisania. When he looked through the peep hole he saw his 47-year-old mother, but when he opened the door two men forced their way inside, police said.

The two suspects demanded money and when the victims said they didn't have any, one of the suspects pulled out a knife, according to police. A physical struggle ensued between the 29-year-old victim and the suspect, who dropped the knife and began punching the victim in the face.

The second suspect stole a television and cell phone from the home during the fight and the suspects took off on foot, police said.

Neither the son nor the mother suffered serious injuries, but the son was cut on his hand. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, treated and released.
