Cops Seek L.I. Man Missing Since August

Police in East Hampton are still searching for a Long Island man who was last seen the morning of Aug. 28 while staying in Montauk with his wife and three sons.

George Richardson, 50, of Dix Hills, was last seen at Hartman's Briney Breezes Motel, police said. A red body board decorated with colored stars is also unaccounted for, East Hampton Police said Monday.

Richardson, who according to Newsday is the director of fundraising for Huntington Hospital. He and his family often vacation in Montauk, Newsday reported, and it was his habit to take a walk every day around 6 a.m., though no one saw him set out that morning.

Richardson is five-feet six, 150 pounds, with short gray hair. He wears reading glasses and may have been wearing dark-colored thick-strapped sandals and an orange "Montauk" hat. He has a small scar on his chin, police said.
