Search for Fire Chief's Stolen Truck Ends After Chase

The suspects allegedly stole the SUV from the parking lot of the East Moriches fire department

An all night search for a stolen truck belonging to a Long Island fire chief ended after a police chase through several Suffolk County towns.

The suspects allegedly stole the SUV from the parking lot of the East Moriches Fire Department.

Authorities said police later spotted the maroon Chevy Tahoe in Rocky Point. A chase ensued through Riverhead and South Hampton before it ended with a crash in Eastport.

Two suspects were taken into police custody in connection with the stolen vehicle.
