Long Island Man Accused of Flashing, Masturbating to Women in Cars: Police

A Long Island man has been arrested again after police say he pulled up near a woman sitting in her car in a parking lot last month and exposed himself, police say, the second time he's accused of doing so in less than a month.

Fredys Santamaria, 39, was arrested at his Westbury home Saturday after a 24-year-old woman said he pulled up to next to her in the parking lot of a Target store in Hicksville the afternoon of Feb. 23 and exposed himself, then took off, police said.

The victim came forward after seeing his photo in an earlier lewdness arrest. In that case, on Feb. 21, a 35-year-old woman was sitting in her car eating lunch in the Babies 'R' Us corporate lot in Westbury when Santamaria allegedly pulled up near her and began masturbating while staring at her, police said.

The woman was able to take a cellphone of the suspect's black Acura before leaving and reporting the incident to police.

When police arrested him in that case on March 18, he was holding his son and initially resisted arrest, authorities said. He was charged with public lewdness, resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child.

Santamaria is expected to be arraigned Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead. Attorney information for the man wasn't immediately clear.
