Loaded Guns, Pringles Container Full of Marijuana Found in Car: NYPD

Police say they found two loaded guns and a Pringles container full of marijuana in a car Wednesday night in Brooklyn.

Officers pulled over the 2009 blue Nissan Maxima, which had heavily tinted windows and a cover on its rear license plate, as it was going eastbound on Maple Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens around 2 p.m., the NYPD said.

As they approached the car, officers smelled marijuana and found the Pringles container, which was open. The four men in the car were arrested and the car was taken to the 71st Precinct, where K9 officer Timoshenko and his handler inspected it.

The K9 officer immediately struck the driver’s side door panel, grabbing the loose arm rest and ripping it off. Inside the panel, police say they found a loaded Glock 40 caliber semi-automatic handgun that had been reported stolen in Haverstraw and a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm semi-automatic handgun. Both weapons had high capacity magazines.

Police arrested Jiliani Mitchell, 22, Ron Thomas, 34, Revor Williams, 25, and Terril Bishop, 25, on several charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana and a license plate violation.

It wasn’t clear if they had attorneys who could comment on the charges.
