Jogger, 84, Hit by Car Backing Out of L.I. Driveway

    An 84-year-old jogger is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle that was being backed out of a Long Island driveway.      

    Police say the man fell and struck his head on the pavement, causing a serious head injury, when he was hit by a 2002 Jeep in Baldwin just before 7:45 a.m. Thursday. 

    The driver, a 54-year man, was found not to be under the influence of alcohol.      
    Police did not identify the two men.
